CDex is the leading MP3 ripper created by Mr. Faber. CDex can create MP3 and ogg files from audio CDs. This modified Beta version now support MusicBrainz, the screenshot shows a Multiple Artist Album. A FreeDB lookup is no longer required. Correct ID3 support is still pending.

The tunepimp program can identify MP3, OGG, and WAV files. The idintification is written in ID3 tag and the file is renamed according to a certain format. The program can also upload TRM fingerprints without the need for a browser (if the server supports this). When uploading the track is identified using an interactive query with the server.
